Activity 2
FireFox- I use FireFox at school because it's faster than internet explorer. I wouln't use it at home because Google Chrome is faster, I would use it if Google Chrome wasn't working.
Google Chrome- I use Google Chrome at home because it's faster than internet explorer. I recomend that everyone uses it because it's so much faster than any other web browser.
Part2
VLC Media Player can convert files and I don't think itunes can do that I think I would use VLC Media Player to convert files to other systems or if itunes didn't work i think this would be my alternative to it. VLC Media Player also doesn't need any codecs for it to be able to work. This is portable as well you can upload music onto an ipod.
Part3
I think that i would download these soft wares as protection for my computer. It would be a bad idea to use a USB flash drive to run it through because a flash drive can be lost or damaged where if you just have a computer it's not so easy to lose or damage it.

Visual organizers could help me in school by keeping me organized. It can also give me a new way to present my work to teachers and other students. It is also very easy to read and it's not the same boring writing, your able to mix it up a little.
A visual organizer is a great way to present information in an easy-to-understand, organized way. Aside Microsoft Word there are many websites to make a visual organizer.

Paragraph for thing 7
In America, ideas that you create are protected by copyright laws. If you create a book, song, painting, architectural style, or movie then nobody else can make money from that idea without your permission. There are also rules in school that prevent students from copying other people’s writing and submitting it as their own idea.

Reflective Essay
It’s okay to take 30% of things or 30 seconds of a song. if you take more than that you have to give credit to the author. If you don’t that is considered plagiarism. You can’t take the words from a friends paper but you can take the idea if you ask first. When something is copyrighted and you take it that is called copyright infringement you can be put in prison and/or fined a lot of money for doing that. Things that are okay are, asking before using something that is copyrighted or if it's okay if they said anybody can make changes. What isn't okay is if you take something off of a website or out of a book without asking or seeing if you can legally make changes. You can't copy someone's idea unless you ask and they say "yes". It isn't OK if you post something online and someone uses it in a movie or story because those are your thoughts and nobody can take those ideas. You can use old photos from your garage because they're your photos.Even if there's no copyright symbol next to the photo you still can't use it because that is someone else's property.

Response to the bogus/hoax sites
Aluminum foil site- The aluminum foil site was obviously a bogus site because it's about a topic that has never been proven right or wrong and this author doesn't have any credibility.
Northwest Pacific Tree Octopus- This is a hoax site because the other doesn't have any credibility and this animal hasn't been seen by any scientist or anyone around the world.
Dog Island- This is a hoax because there is no way these dogs could survive on their own without people giving them food because that's the way they have always grown up so they wouldn't be able to catch other animals.
Burmese Mountain Dog- The Burmese Mountain Dog sounds real because when I looked it up online and there were no sites saying that
This is my response to the blogs for thing 8
The Bad Astronomy blog was not a bogus blog because he had people to back him up on his professor and that he was a real professor. Although the name kind of throws you off because it says bad professor and he talks about how good his professor is.
Just Jarred- This seems to be real because a lot of people seem to go on it and keep coming back. So the author has credibilty.
Donald Trump- This is very reliable because they give facts and they are talking about someone who is definitely real because everyone has heard of him.
IBM Trick-or-Treat- I know this is real because this is about a real company that everyone and the author writes stories that a lot of people use.

This is my response for the questions on thing 8 step 7 in completing this module
I know if something is real if the author has credibility or if a lot of people know about it and it has been proven real. Blogs are an online log, databases is something that stores information so it's easy to find. Plagiarism is when someone takes something off the internet without asking the rightful owner and copying their idea. I would use the big six or CARRDSS to evaluate a website. You define the problem, determine the range of possible sources, locate my sources, engage the information within the source, present the product, judge the product.
